The Square D 8536SCG3V06 is an AC magnetic NEMA Size 1 motor starter manufactured by Schneider Electric and assembled in Mexico. This Class 8536 Type S full voltage non reversing starter is rated for 27 amperes and accepts three phase motor loads up to 7 1/2 HP at 200/230 VAC and 10 HP at 460/575 VAC, with a maximum system voltage of 600 VAC at 50/60 Hz. The unit ships in a painted sheet steel NEMA Type 1 general purpose enclosure measuring approximately 10 inches tall, 6 inches wide, and 5.56 inches deep, with a hinged cover featuring an external overload reset button. The starter coil is rated 480 VAC at 60 Hz and 440 VAC at 50 Hz, identified by coil part number 31041 400 60. Overload protection is provided by a three pole melting alloy thermal overload relay that accepts Type B thermal units, selected from the published trip chart based on motor full load current. Carries UL Listed and CSA certifications, NOM 117 marking, and a manufacturer date code of 2024. Applications include full voltage starting and stopping of three phase AC squirrel cage motors driving pumps, fans, conveyors, compressors, machine tools, and similar industrial loads where line voltage starting is acceptable.
