A Teel branded immersion coolant pump originally distributed by Grainger as a private label industrial pump for machine tool coolant applications. The motor nameplate confirms a 1/8 HP three phase TEFC motor rated for dual voltage operation at 230/460 VAC, 50/60 Hz, with full load amperage of 0.3 amps at 460V and 0.19 amps at 230V. Operating speed is rated at 2850/3400 RPM based on the supply frequency.
Constructed with a cast iron motor housing, cast iron column and base, and a vertical immersion configuration intended for mounting through a coolant tank cover with the impeller submerged in the working fluid. The unit includes the integrated pump column and discharge head as a single assembly with a side mounted electrical junction box and dual voltage wiring connection diagram printed directly on the motor data plate covering the 230V and 460V wye and delta connection points labeled one through six.
Typical applications include flood coolant delivery on engine lathes, milling machines, surface grinders, drill presses, saws, and similar metalworking equipment where water based or light oil based cutting fluid is recirculated from a sump back to the cutting zone. Teel coolant pumps in this configuration are commonly cross referenced to AMT, Dayton, TTC, and Graymills equivalents of matching horsepower, voltage, and amperage ratings. Manufacturer published specifications for shaft immersion depth, discharge port size, and flow rate at zero head are not visible on the unit and should be verified by part number before installation in a specific machine application.
