The Westinghouse A200M1CACD is a NEMA Size 1 three phase magnetic motor starter from the A200 Series Model J product line, identified by catalog number 6710C87G10 and manufacturing code C970602. This unit is rated for 27 amp continuous current at up to 600V AC maximum, with horsepower ratings of 7.5 HP at 200V three phase, 7.5 HP at 230V three phase, and 10 HP at 460/575V three phase, as printed directly on the nameplate. Construction is open frame with three pole power contacts, screw terminal line and load connections marked L1, L2, L3 and a bimetallic thermal overload relay mounted to the load side of the contactor assembly. The unit is UL listed under Industrial Control Equipment file 770A and carries CSA certification. Coil voltage and frequency are specified on the coil itself rather than the main nameplate, per the printed instruction on the housing. Made in USA. The A200M1CACD has been superseded by the Eaton Freedom Series A200M1CACD non reversing starter, which retains the same NEMA Size 1, 27 amp, three pole, 600V configuration. Common applications include motor branch circuit control for pumps, fans, conveyors, compressors, machine tool drives, HVAC equipment and general purpose industrial three phase motor loads. The thermal overload block provides motor running protection when matched with appropriate heater elements sized to motor full load amps. Sold as used surplus.
