The Big Daishowa BCV50-AG90/HMC1.250-230S is a 90-degree right angle head built for heavy-duty end milling on horizontal machining centers. It uses the BIG-PLUS dual-contact CAT50 spindle interface, which provides simultaneous taper and flange face contact for improved rigidity and repeatability compared to standard CAT50 tooling. The output side uses Big Daishowa's HMC Hi-Power Milling Chuck system with a 1-1/4 inch clamping diameter, designed to accept large-diameter end mills under high cutting loads. Overall gage length is 230mm with a long-reach (HR) configuration. The nameplate confirms a 1:1 speed ratio and a forward maximum speed of 3,000 RPM. The angular head body is machined from steel and incorporates hardened spiral bevel gears for torque transmission to the 90-degree output spindle. A degree-graduated collar visible in the photos allows for indexed rotation of the output spindle housing, enabling angular positioning for multi-face machining without repositioning the workpiece. The BIG-PLUS spindle system designation and Big Daishowa Angle Head branding are engraved on the tool collar. Part number BCV50-AG90/HMC1.250-230S appears on the blue nameplate label along with serial reference NCH228RL. This unit is suited for HMC applications requiring a large-bore milling chuck output with maximum torsional stability.
