Product Description

This is a Reliance Electric UB0408ATZ Machine Tool D-C Super RPM motor. The nameplate is scratched and worn, and the legible fields read FR UB0408ATZ, H.P. 75, ENCL. DPFV, AMPS 260.00, RPM 850/2600, DUTY CONT, VOLTS 240, INSUL F, AMB. 40 C, and CSA. The field data reads winding shunt, volts 75, max amps at 25 C 18.20, and hot amps 12.80 with a second value that is not readable. The plate also reads Reliance Electric Company, Cleveland, Ohio 44117, and Made in U.S.A. It carries an S.O. number that is only partly legible.

Several nameplate fields could not be read in the photos, including the maximum safe RPM, the power code, the type, the ident number and the bearing numbers, so they are not listed. The motor is painted teal and has a separate blower assembly with its own motor, a terminal box, a louvered end cover, inspection covers, two lifting lugs and a multi-groove pulley on the shaft. The pulley has surface rust. It is mounted on a wooden pallet.

Sold as surplus, untested. This motor has not been powered on or run by MRO Exchange, and winding, bearing and blower condition have not been verified.
